EU Privacy Rights

EU PRIVACY RIGHTS This page explains rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) regarding personal data processed by Kata Patek Productions s. r. o. for Big Wave Surf Channel.

Your rights

Depending on the legal basis and circumstances, you may have the right to: - Access: obtain confirmation whether we process your personal data and receive a copy. - Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data. - Erasure: request deletion, where legal grounds apply. - Restriction: ask us to limit processing in certain cases. - Data portability: receive data you provided in a structured, machine-readable format, where processing is automated and based on consent or contract. - Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling based on such interests. You can always object to direct marketing. - Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing before withdrawal. - Complaint: lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

How to make a request

Email contact@bigwavesurfchannel.com and describe your request. Contact form submissions are stored privately in our website system and forwarded to our business email mailbox. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity. We will not request more information than necessary.

Response time

We will respond without undue delay and generally within one month of receipt. Where permitted by the GDPR, this may be extended by up to two further months for complex or numerous requests; we will inform you of any extension and the reason within the first month. If we do not act on your request, we will explain the reason without delay and within one month and tell you about your right to complain and seek a judicial remedy. Exercising rights is normally free. Where requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse, as permitted by law.

Limitations

Some rights may be limited, for example where we must keep data to comply with legal obligations, establish or defend legal claims, or protect freedom of expression and information, including journalistic, academic, artistic or literary expression, as allowed by applicable law. Any limitation is assessed case by case under applicable law. Publishing journalism does not automatically exempt all BWSC processing from GDPR. Our Owner-only contact controls support retrieval, correction, export and deletion of website enquiry records. Mailbox correspondence, relevant editorial material and any legally retained records must be assessed separately. Deletion of a live website record does not immediately erase provider logs or retained backup snapshots. Following restoration, outstanding deletion and correction requests must be reapplied before restored records are used.

Consent preferences

Use Manage Privacy Preferences in the footer to withdraw External Media consent. This stops and removes embedded players on BWSC; it cannot undo prior disclosure to the provider or remove cookies controlled by another domain. You can manage those through your browser or the provider.

Third-party services

Where YouTube, Google or another provider processes data as an independent controller, you may also need to contact that provider directly.

Supervisory authority

Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky) https://dataprotection.gov.sk You may also complain to the supervisory authority in your EU country of residence, work or the place of the alleged infringement.
